Education Coordinator/Director

The Leighton Art Centre, located 15 minutes South West of Calgary, is looking for an Education Coordinator/Director to help bring our school program, summer camp and adult workshops to the next level!

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the school program and summer camp, including managing staff, budgeting, managing bookings, marketing, prep of classroom materials, working with volunteers, updating website and more.
  • Working with the Curator to create educational workshops that coincide with the current exhibitions at the Gallery, including contacting artist, creating pricing for workshops, advertising and registration.
  • Working with Executive team in preparation of yearly budgets, grant writing and marketing for all programs.

Qualities:

  • Team Leader, must be able to motivate and lead a team of teachers
  • Flexible, creative and enthusiastic. We encourage critical thinking, investigation and making connections.
  • Ability to problem solve is a must
  • High Energy and physically fit

The Leighton Arts Centre is located in a rural location 15 minutes SW of Calgary, reliable transportation is a must.
