Economic and Touristic Development Officer

Responsibilities : Develop strategies to diversify the autonomous revenues and assure their implementation. He/she is also responsible for ties with numerous partners ( i.e. Chamber of Commerce, private enterprises, corporations, associations and foundations) of the organisation who contribute to the support and success of its programs and services, in the Production Centre. Offer a key support to the Building and Box Office Manager and collaborate with her for the effective management of the building, rentals and Box Office.

Tasks: He or she WORKS TOWARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PRODUCTION CENTRE

  • Promotes the Production Centre, its rentable spaces and available services at the local, provincial and national levels;
  • Promote the Production Centre’s tourism potential, with a focus on its diverse cultural character and its artistic and professional mission.
  • Builds and maintains good relationships with the business community, associative networks, as well as, Municipal and Provincial institutions. Takes part in the corporate promotion of the company and its Centre;
  • Maintains statistics, analysis data and contacts regarding the results of financing activities, of which he/she is responsible;
  • Maintains links with financial partners in the private sector, assures regular follow up and produces the required annual reports, according to the established contracts and agreements;
  • Is responsible for rentals and the Box Office in the evening and on weekends, while ensuring proper maintenance of the site.

Requirements:

  • Bilingual (French/English) – (written and spoken);
  • Customer service experience;
  • Able to compile information and use various software programs;
  • Possess organization and planning skills. Able to bring projects in, on budget and on time;
  • Sound judgment and excellent inter-personal skills;
  • Have a good knowledge of the business world and the francophone community;
  • Have a flexible schedule and be able to adapt to a changing environment;
  • Work well with others and/or without supervision.
