Alberta Council for the Ukrainian is a non-profit Ukrainian arts organization with a Gallery and Boutique based in Edmonton.
It is the mandate of ACUA to facilitate and encourage greater appreciation and awareness of the Ukrainian arts and their cultural significance to the greater Alberta community. Through exhibitions, tours, festivals, educational programs, workshops, and special projects, ACUA promotes growth and provides support to the Ukrainian arts and artists living in Alberta.
We’re looking for an organized, proactive, and communicative Gallery & Boutique Coordinator who can work independently, juggle multiple priorities, and play a hands-on role in delivering engaging community arts programming, events, and workshops. You must be flexible as weekend and evening work will be required. It is also beneficial but not a requirement to have access to a vehicle to get to and from offsite events and be able to transport equipment and supplies in your vehicle for offsite events.

Here is what a Gallery & Boutique Coordinator would do. This list will evolve and develop based on your skills, ideas, and coordinating acumen.
Plan and coordinate engaging community arts programming, including workshops, lectures, book launches, and special events from concept through execution.
Coordinate and support volunteers who assist with our community arts programming.
Organize and schedule workshops by coordinating instructors, venues, registration, and workshop logistics to ensure successful program delivery.
Coordinate the production of ACUA Vitae magazine by working with writers, proof readers, advertisers, and printers to bring each issue to life.
Welcome visitors, answers phones and emails, provide excellent customer service, and serve as a knowledgeable ambassador for ACUA’s operations and programs.
Manage the day-to-day operation of ACUA Gallery & Artisan Boutique, including artist consignments, inventory, merchandising, retail sales, and gallery exhibitions.
Assist with marketing and communications by creating promotional content.
Support membership administration by processing memberships, engaging members, maintaining accurate records, and helping ACUA’s membership community grow.
Represent ACUA at community festivals, markets, and outreach events, such as K-Days or Pysanka Festival, to promote Ukrainian arts and culture while supporting program and retail activities.
Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, artists, and community partners to ensure ACUA's programs, gallery, and boutique operate smoothly and continue to grow.
