What will be my key activities?
The Development Coordinator is responsible for duties in the Annual Fund Office including: handling donor inquiries, supervising volunteers, arranging for the production of print materials, staffing the public office during performances, provide concierge service, telephone renewals, tracking registration for events and open rehearsals, special ticket and VIP parking requests as well as coordinate day to day telemarketing activities. The incumbent will also prepare and mail thank you packages, pledge reminders, monitor past due donations and invitation lists. He/she will be responsible for tracking statistics using Excel and performing mail merges using Word. The incumbent will play an important role on the team as the first contact with donors which enables the Development team to build and maintain exceptional relationships with donors to the National Arts Centre.
What are the required qualifications?
- Completion of a University or College Degree preferred, plus a minimum of one year related experience;
- At least 2 years experience in customer relations/customer service role;
- Proven computer abilities;
- Ability to cope with high volume of work and strict deadlines;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Attention to detail, precision and adaptability;
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to multi-task;
- Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge database software, or similar fundraising software is a significant asset;
- Ability to communicate in both official languages is essential.
