The Francis Winspear Centre for Music is recognized as one of North America’s finest acoustic concert venues. This community facility is home to the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, hosts internationally recognized groups and artists, and serves many of the city’s businesses and arts and community service organizations with over 400 events per year. The Edmonton Symphony Orchestra & Francis Winspear Centre for Music is seeking a Patron Relations Associate to build and nurture relationships with orchestra subscribers and donors. This position provides administrative and creative support to the funds development team and is responsible for being a touch point for existing and prospective subscribers and donors. Additionally, the Patron Relations Associate is accountable for coordinating direct mail campaigns to achieve donation targets, records management and donation receipting, creating standardized processes and procedures to inspire and maintain donor engagement, and providing input for communications and events.

This role requires someone who is personable, independent, and can interact confidently with others. Being able to call upon accurate information at a moment’s notice is crucial, and your organizational skills and detail accuracy are essential to the records management aspects of this role. Your capacity for establishing personal connections with people is important, and a proven ability to handle customer issues with diplomacy and professionalism. As a representative of the Winspear team, your commitment to follow-through on all inquiries and feedback is essential.

Your qualifications include a post-secondary degree and related experience with funds development, donor relations, and communications. To succeed in this role, you are passionate about the arts and you love meeting new people and attending events. You are a strong communicator in person and in writing who is conscientious, organized, and diligent. Experience with events coordination, database management, and ticket services is beneficial. Your appreciation of the value arts and culture bring to the community as a whole are essential to success in this role. Evening and weekend work is required on a flexible schedule.
